Olivia Jean
Livie Jean has arrived. I know, I never really mentioned she was coming on the blog, or anywhere on my site! I did share a few Instagram posts about it, but this pregnancy was so different. I have felt for so long that I don’t know where to start, but here is the story of how we found out about our girl!
Having William wasn’t easy. A lot of you already know that, but if you’re new here you can check back soon for an entire post on that story. To catch you up, we had medical intervention to conceive William. I spent a lot of time crying, praying, feeling isolated and on an island with only a few key people with me. When William came we thought he could be our only one, queue, Olivia Jean.
I had been tired on a Sunday so I laid on the couch ALL day. This felt normal since Will was right there with me. He was extra tired that day too. I was wanting to eat everything, but nothing satisfied me. And then a few days later I was cleaning up the house and as I dumped out a day old cup of coffee I about threw up everywhere, and that’s the moment I knew I was pregnant. During my 1st pregnancy I hated the smell of coffee. This is a huge overnight change for a girl who has coffee every morning!
I casually yelled from the top of the stairs to my husband “WILL! I’m pretty sure I’m pregnant” followed with a very nervous laugh. He had an equally casual response by yelling back up the stairs “what? no you aren’t”. So I headed into the bathroom to take a test. Anyone who has gone through any type of infertility knows that you have tests on tests stocked up and I throw nothing away, so I was prepared. At first I thought the test was negative, I came back to it after another minute and right as I about tossed it I noticed a faint 2nd line. I know that false positives aren’t a real thing so I handed it to Will, again with a nervous laugh and thats pretty much it. We are that couple, who tried and tried to get pregnant and then we end up with a complete surprise baby!
We didn’t share as much about this pregnancy online until the end, and even then it was nothing compared to our pregnancy with William. We had a lot of reasons for that which is all coming on my blog soon, but for now we are so happy to announce the arrival of Olivia Jean Jarrell! She was born 4/28/20 at 8:33 am. 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long <3 Stay tuned for her birth story, our pregnancy journey and the very, very long road to picking out her name!
A special thanks to Will for being a good sport and helping me take our own photos at the hospital!
