Gas Works Park

Can you believe that I have never done a shoot at Gasworks prior to this session?! For those of you that don’t live in the PNW, its a super popular park that used to be the Seattle Gas Light Company. It sits on 19 acres and has amazing views of the city and South Lake Union- which is another perfect place to set sail on a sunny day, or eat at a trendy restaurant on the water.

Gas Works is one of the go-to places when we have a sunny day in Seattle. And if you are from here, you know all about this. And if you aren’t from here, make sure you visit in the summer and make this a must see on your tourist list.

Now back to my session. I grew up in the same hometown as Amanda. We didn’t really know each other until we both moved to the west side of the mountains. We got to hang out here and there and she had the most adorable toddler, Jordyn who now is a teenager! There’s nothing like your friends babies growing up to make you feel aged in an instant! She had her 2 boys in tow, Carson & Jesse along with her fiance, Bobby. I will say, this family came ready. The boys all had fresh haircuts and everyone was dressed head to toe in my favorite fall styles & colors. However, I have a strong belief that black is the best color all year long. The sunset ended up providing us with the most perfect golden hour glow, and the kids were great sports, allowing me to do some solo photos of each of them.

I am definitely looking forward to another session here. Especially now that I”ve tackeld my first one!
